Part Time Faculty (Adjuncts)
Teaching Part-Time at Mercer
As a part-time instructor, you are integral to teaching and learning at Mercer. You are part of Mercer's mission, which is to teach, to learn, to create, to discover, to inspire, to empower, and to serve. If you are teaching one or more classes on a part-time basis, this website is designed for you and offers information on resources available to help you teach with excellence.
Critical dates, handbooks, and emergency information are linked on the right, and the left sidebar menu offers more resources for important contacts, teaching advice, library resources, and end-of-semester procedures. Below, information is provided on necessary Human Resources paperwork and how you can utilize Mercer Information Technology. Since you may be teaching in one or more of Mercer's 12 colleges and schools, check with your coordinator or administrator for procedures and policies specific to the course or courses you are teaching.
Human Resources Forms for Part-Time Instructors
If you are a new adjunct or have not taught in over 2 years, you will need to complete new hire paperwork including the forms linked below on or before your start date. If you are teaching on the Macon campus, this can be done in the Human Resources office. If you are teaching on the Atlanta or Savannah campuses, you may complete paperwork with your Dean's office on that campus. Individuals teaching at a Regional Academic Center may complete paperwork with the Center Coordinator. If you have questions about your status, please contact Human Resources at 478-301-2786.
